Taking a horse out for a relaxing ride in the fresh air generally means that you and your horse will be the unwitting leaders of a flying insect parade. Even riding a majestic animal with a built-in fly swatter on its hind end won’t keep the flies away. One of our recent commercial clients with equestrian facilities in Hillsborough, N.C. had simply had enough of the flying pests and the horses were on the verge of mounting a strike. Of course, Retracting Solutions came to the rescue with the perfect product from Phantom Screens.
We haven’t featured our commercial work on the blog much yet, so we are excited to share this project with you. Our clients own a large, covered riding arena in Hillsborough, N.C. and needed a way to keep the fresh air flowing through the arena while blocking out the flies that were distracting the horses and the riders.
Each end of the arena presented the challenge of a large opening. We chose to use two surface-mount gray screens from Phantom Screens with a 7-inch housing cover due to the height of the openings. The end result looked sleek and professional and our clients are now able to offer their customers and horses a comfortable space to ride all year round.
Although most of what we feature here on the blog is beautiful residential work, we have installed retractable screens on other large commercial buildings with expansive openings; allowing them to do their work in warehouses and garages with fresh air and no uninvited pests. If you are considering a screen option on a large warehouse or commercial building, contact us today about the solutions we offer.
