For the first time this year, we can feel just a slight hint of fall in the air. In the first few hours of daylight before the sun shines down at full strength, it actually feels cool. It may not be time to pull the boots and long-sleeves out of the closet just yet, but that doesn’t mean we can’t be excited about cooler weather and the golden and red hues of fall in North Carolina. There are few places as beautiful as the NC mountains in the fall, so we thought we would share a project we recently completed in Roaring Gap, NC.
Roaring Gap is home to Stone Mountain State Park and some of the most amazing views our state has to offer, especially when the leaves change colors in late September. Our clients own a unique home in the mountains, complete with actual tree-bark siding. Naturally, they wanted any additions to their home to have a minimal impact on the natural beauty around them. Retracting Solutions installed retractable Phantom Screens around the porch area for protection from the elements while still maintaining their spectacular view. We installed three standard surface-mount Phantom Screen units to the covered porch area, for maximum versatility and minimal change to the view from the porch. With a house that sits on land like this, maintaining the view is a must! The homeowners even utilize glass railings around the porch and open deck to ensure the view remains unobstructed. These retractable screens fit seamlessly into their master plan for making the view outdoors part of their interior décor.
At Retracting Solutions, we have the solution you need for your indoor to outdoor space. We will make absolutely sure that we accomplish the goals you have for maintaining your views with a screen or shade solution that easily blends in with the style and “personality” of your home. The fall weather is calling you out to the porch. Contact us today to get started on your outdoor retreat.
